BYKI Online Language Learning offers lessons in over 80 languages and includes courses in English as a Second Language for a number of non-native English speakers. The learning method takes you through a series of simple steps to memorize words and phrases in the new language, including their meanings and proper pronunciation.

BYKI stands for Before You Know It (and rhymes with “spiky”). It is free for JCPL library card holders - - simply sign up for an account at your next visit to the library and then you are free to use it at the library, at home or on the road (yes, there is a smart phone app for this too).
