Teen Place

Teens have a place at Jessamine County Public Library, too!

JCPL acknowledges that the library and social needs of young adults are unique, separate from both children and adults. To serve those needs, JCPL provides a physical space, materials, and programming specifically for teens grades 6th through 12th.

The Teen Place area is reserved for only teens during after school hours and on weekends. Magazines, as well as all new titles for teens can be found here. The Young Adult collection provides materials that are age and interest appropriate, such as:

Fiction and Nonfiction Books
Audio Books on CD
Teen Nooks
Teen Downloadable Materials


JCPL Teens have a wide variety of programming and events available to them, and are always encouraged to offer suggestions about what should be happening at their library.
