Inclement Weather Closings
If the library administration believes driving conditions pose a danger to our customers and our staff, the library will consider closing early, opening late, or remaining closed entirely.
When possible we will advertise a change in hours on channel WLEX-18, on WKYT-TV, and on our website.
Holiday Closings
The library observes the following holidays by closing:
- New Year’s Eve
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- President’s Day
- Easter
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
Staff Training Closings
In addition to the holidays above, the library closes around twice a year for staff training. These days will be publicly posted on the library premises and on the events calendar at least one week before the closing.
