5 Things to Do Before We Close

Hopefully, you’ve heard that the library is moving back to Main Street. While we move, we’ll be closed from December 1, 2015 through January 18, 2016.

We know that’s a long time to go without your library, so here are some suggestions to help you prepare.

5. Create an account for Transparent Language Online.

If you’ve been wanting to learn a language, this is the perfect time to get started. Transparent Language Online offers lessons in over 80 languages. Just create your account in the library so that you can use the service anytime, anywhere. To get started, stop by the Information Desk or call us at (859) 885-3523 ext. 243.

4. Write down the password for the Kentucky Virtual Library.

3. Download the JCPL Mobile app.

If you primarily access your account from a mobile device, download the JCPL Mobile app from Google Play or the Apple app store. You’ll be able to see what items you have checked out, when they are due back, and more.

2. Learn how to download titles from our eLibrary.

While we’re closed, you can enjoy eBooks, eAudiobooks, music, movies, TV shows, and magazines on your computer or mobile device. If you’d like help getting started, stop by the Information Desk, or sign up for one of our eLibrary help sessions.
