Turn your library into the gym for brain health with BrainHQ™, a new service brought to you by the Jessamine County Public Library.
BrainHQ™ is a suite of online brain fitness exercises designed to help adults think faster, focus better, remember more, and enjoy life. According to the scientists behind BrainHQ™, the benefits of the exercises are proven in more than 100 studies on healthy aging. Both science studies and customer stories show BrainHQ™ speeds up thinking, sharpens attention, and enhances memory—and these benefits lead to others, from safer driving to feeling more confident in conversations.
You can spend as little as two minutes to as much time as you like on BrainHQ™ at any given time. The site suggests 90 minutes per week for optimal gains. If you prefer to learn on the go, download the BrainHQ™ app for iPhone/iPad. An Android app is coming soon.
This service usually costs $96 a year, but you can use your library card to “check out” BrainHQ™ for free, just as you would a book. To get started, click the link available on the Online Learning or Databases pages of our website. Register with your library card number and PIN, and create an account. After you create your account, you’ll login with your email address and password.
