Mother Goose Storytime @ JCPL at Meeting Room 3/4

Mother Goose storytime is designed to provide parents/caregivers and young children time to enjoy books and reading together. Interaction between adults and their children is encouraged through  stories, lap songs and fingerplays.

No registration is required for this program, so please attend as often as you are able.

Tiny Tinkers: STEAM for Preschoolers @ JCPL at Meeting Room 3/4

This program is designed for families with children 3-5 years old.  With a focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) concepts, each program will begin by sharing a story in group time and then adults and children participating in hands on, age appropriate activities.Age: 3 – 5 years

Family Storytime @ JCPL at Meeting Room 3/4
Jan 8 @ 6:30 pm – 7:15 pm

This storytime is designed for families with children 0-5 years old. Family storytime is designed to provide parents/caregivers and children time to enjoy books and reading together while incorporating early literacy and school readiness activities.  Adults and children will spend quality time together as they enjoy stories, lap songs, fingerplays, singing and dancing.  Each session includes 25-30 minutes of group interaction followed by an opportunity for parents and children to play, talk and read together. Participation is encouraged as we explore language and movement in a group setting.

No registration is required for this program, so please attend as often as you are able.

Jr. STEM Club @ JCPL at Meeting Room 1/2/5/6
Jan 9 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Jr. STEM Club brings science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), to kids ages kindergarten through fifth grade in fun and challenging ways. In these hands-on, interactive programs kids and their caregivers will ask questions, use their senses, and investigate the world around them.

In January, Mathnasium of Lexington will be leading participants in math games.  

Registration is required for this program and will begin on December 26.  Enter each of your children separately with their names and grade so that they will be properly registered.

Jump & Jive @ JCPL at Meeting Room 5/6

Join with us as we sing and dance to your   favorite storytime songs and rhymes.  This high-energy program is specifically geared for kids 0-5 years of age.  Families will have fun together as they enjoy age-appropriate songs, rhymes and fingerplays.  This is a great time for the whole family to learn their child’s  favorite storytime rhymes and songs.
