Tiny Tinkers: STEAM for Preschoolers @ JCPL at Meeting Room 3/4

Tiny Tinkers is a fun and engaging program for families with children 3-5 years old. With a focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) concepts, each program will begin by sharing a story in group time. You and your children will then participate in hands-on, age-appropriate activities.
All of the programs offered by the children’s library staff are designed to create an environment that will reinforce children’s natural love of reading and storytelling. It is our mission to assist parents and caregivers in the important developmental task of building a foundation for lifelong literacy. This is done in programs using an age appropriate combination of books, music, rhymes and interactive fingerplays. Family Storytime @ JCPL at Meeting Room 3/4
Feb 19 @ 6:30 pm – 7:15 pm

Family Storytime provides you and your children time to enjoy books and reading together while incorporating early literacy and school-readiness activities. You will spend quality time together enjoying stories, lap songs, fingerplays, singing and dancing. Each session includes 25-30 minutes of group interaction followed by a time for you and your children to play, talk and read together. Participation is encouraged as we explore language and movement in a group setting.

With an early literacy and school-readiness focus, Preschool Storytime includes 25-30 minutes of outstanding stories, poetry, fingerplays, singing and dancing. At the end, you and your children will have time to interact with a story one-on-one and are invited for an additional 10-15 minutes of an age-appropriate art project, physical activity or dramatic play.

All of the programs offered by the children’s library staff are designed to  create an environment that will reinforce children’s natural love of reading and storytelling. It is our mission to assist parents and caregivers in the important developmental task of building a foundation for lifelong literacy. This is done in programs using an age appropriate combination of books, music, rhymes and interactive fingerplays.
