We provide the supplies, you provide the creativity for this fun time of open crafting.  JCPL invites children in kindergarten – 5th grade and their caregiver to explore all kinds of arts and crafts supplies and see what you can create.Project materials will be provided and will be available while supplies last.No registration is required.

This storytime is for families with kids between the ages of 0 and 5 and their favorite adults.We combine stories, dancing, singing, and movement. Adults are expected to be active participants and are sure to enjoy themselves as much as the children.

Our Summer Learning Family Performances are family friendly programs that are specifically selected with elementary aged students in mind. All ages are welcome and registration is not required.

Rose must spin straw into gold to save her father! With the help of a strange little creature, she does the impossible, but she could lose everything if she can’t guess his name. This musical adaptation is sure to delight audiences of all ages!

Virtual Field Trip: Live Safari from South Africa @ JCPL at Meeting Room 5/6

JCPL’s virtual field trips allow you to visit far off places, see artistic masterpieces, experience live performances, go behind the scenes and get up close and personal all without leaving Jessamine County.

Using High Definition videoconferencing technology, participants are able to interact live with presenters at hundreds of content providers around the world.  Virtual field trips provide the opportunity for patrons to experience the history and appreciation of visual and performing arts, explore the sciences, learn about history and more.

Join us on a live Safari with safariLive.  safariLIVE is an award-winning daily, interactive broadcast, hosted by expert safari guides and streamed LIVE to the internet directly from the South African bush.  Keep your eyes open for elephant, lion, buffalo or the elusive cheetah. Other iconic species include leopard, zebra, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, hyenas, wildebeest, wild dog and vultures.

Wild World of Animals is located in the heart of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and specializes in educational and entertaining wildlife shows for a variety of occasions and events.  With more than 30 years of experience working with and caring for wild animals, they travel the entire country educating and sharing their life’s passion with you!The animals they work with are among some of the most fascinating, beautiful and sometimes endangered animals in the world. The trainers present the animals in a fast-paced, informative and fun format, which both children and adults will enjoy. It is a rare opportunity to see these animals in such an intimate setting at the location of your choosing. Some of the major themes of the show are teaching that ALL animals are very important in the world, that wild animals are not pets, problems facing wildlife in the world today, that animals are neither ‘Hollywood Villains’ nor ‘Disney Characters’, as well as learning about the individual animals.

Escape Games: Children’s Edition @ JCPL at Meeting Room 1/2/5/6

The clock is ticking and you only have 45 minutes to break out and accomplish your mission.  Use your sleuthing skills to solve puzzles, riddles, and clues and have fun at the same time.

Families will work together as a team and registration is required.

This program is designed for children kindergarten through 5th grade and their parent or caregiver.

Please register as a family group and list the ages of your children.
