Edible
Landscaping can be a life long journey of learning and exploring nature as well
as creativity. Cole Alexander, Edible Garden Steward for Bernheim Arboretum
& Research Forest, will help us begin transforming our plots of grass into beautiful, bountiful gardens. In this class, participants will learn about planning edible landscapes, varieties of edible ornamental plants,
design techniques, and the importance of natural practices. Participants will
also receive a list of resources so they can continue honing their landscaping skills
on their own.  Please register. From growing up on a small organic farm in Bloomfield
Kentucky, to becoming Edible Garden Steward for Bernheim Arboretum and Research
Forest, Cole has developed a deep connection with environment and has come to
revere the art of landscape design. He sees endless opportunities for personal
exploration through observing and mimicking nature. One of his life goals is to
inspire those who seek a deeper connection to their environment.
