Coding girls, unite! Girls Who Code Club is a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models who learn to see themselves as computer scientists. During club meetings, you will use computer science to solve problems in your community, learn the concepts of loops, variables, conditionals, and functions that form the basis for all programming languages (build a website, an app, or a robot) and interest such as music, art, game design, and storytelling. Returning club girls can deepen their programming knowledge through extended activity sets. New members can join throughout the season and veteran members will lead. You will work in teams to design and build a Computer Science “CS” Impact Project that solves real-world problems through code. This program is a September-May series and is for ages 6th-12th grade. Registration is required.
