Events for Teens in March

Teens are welcome at the library!

Every month we offer a wide variety of programs and workshops for our patrons in grades 6-12. Events are held either in the library’s meeting rooms or in the Teen Library, and registration is required for most events. Patrons can register online through our event calendar, by calling the library, or by stopping by any of our service desks. 

Teen Reads – Every Monday, 5-6pm in the Teen Library

Calling all teen book-lovers!  Join us every Monday for title suggestions, reviews, and discussion. This is a Come-and-Go program and no registration required. 

Teen Trivia: Every Wednesday, 5-6pm in the Teen Library

Think you know pop culture and trivia? Want to test your skills and win some prizes? Come join us every Wednesday for Teen Trivia! This is a come-and-go program and registration is not required. 

Teen Anime Club: Tuesday, March 7 from 5-7pm in Meeting Rooms 5/6

Watch anime, discuss print and animated formats, and explore Japanese culture. Authentic Japanese refreshments will be available. Please register. In March, we’ll be screening episodes from the show Spice and Wolf.

Be-YOU-tiful: Tuesday, March 14 from 6-7pm in Meeting Rooms 5/6

Teens, bring the spa experience home! Each month, come learn the skills to make homemade products to let your beauty shine. In March, make your own vanilla-almond sugar scrub.

Teen Craft – Etched Glass: Tuesday, March 21 from 6-7pm in Meeting Rooms 5/6

Teens, get crafty! Hang out and make DIY projects to make your world even more awesome.  All supplies are provided. Please register. In March, choose a design to create a custom etched glass. 

Teen Gaming Tournament – Mario Kart 8: Thursday, March 30 from 5-6pm in the Teen Library

Come test your skills against other teens playing on the consoles in the Teen Library. Play for bragging rights and prizes! No registration required. In March, play the brand new Mario Kart 8 on WiiU. Slots for the competition will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
