Does your current photo storage system look like this?
Or maybe your computer is drowning in digital photos that you don’t know how to find or share.
If so, we’re here to help. As part of Preservation Week, we’ve scheduled several events to help you preserve your family photos and other treasures.
At Lunch and Learn on Thursday, April 27th, you’ll learn about Online Photo Storage. Websites and apps such as Flickr and Google Photos allow you to backup, tag, and easily share your photos. We’ll explore these free online photo storage services so you can decide which one is right for you. Please register.
On Saturday, April 29th, stop by the library for Preservation Day: Save Your Family Treasures. JCPL librarians will show you how to scan copies of your family photos using the library’s scanners or the app Google PhotoScan. We’ll also show you how to preserve physical copies of your photos, convert your VHS tapes to DVDs, and much more.
Plus, enter to win an archival album for your favorite photos and documents. Preservation Day is from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., and you may come and go at any time. There’s no need to register.
