The library’s grand re-opening was about 6 months ago, and we are loving the new facility! With larger meeting spaces, a brand new addition with a Creative Space, a Quiet Room, and lots of cozy space to read or work, the remodeled JCPL is a great place to be.
When you’re not able to visit JCPL in person, there are still ways to enjoy what the Library has to offer. You can find e-books to read and listen to on your smartphone, movies to watch on your tablet or television, and databases to help you learn something new. If you’re a book lover, the library has even more great resources, including a brand new service called Book Match. Simply fill out this form and you will be provided with personalized book recommendations from JCPL librarians!
You can also share your love of reading with others by participating in the Library’s new Online Book Club. The Book Club is hosted through a Facebook group run by JCPL Librarians, and it is open to anyone. Simply visit the page, request to join, and a librarian will approve your request as soon as possible. The first book discussion will start in September. Voting is currently open for the first month’s book choice, so head over and choose what you would like to discuss with other readers!
Not only will the Online Book Club host casual discussions of particular books chosen for each month, we encourage all participants to share what they’ve been reading and discuss other books as well. Participants will be able to get recommendations and suggestions from other readers and discover new books. We hope you’ll check out JCPL’s Online Book Club!
